Welsh Terrier Dog Portrait C1850 Oil on Board

A very good quality dog portrait signed to lower left. (We cannot make out the signature.)

The painting is on board and housed in what appears to be the original gesso frame. The painting is in very good condition with a small abrasion on the right hand side please see images.
