This is a beautifully painted watercolour by the well listed artist Tom Gilfillan who its best know as the artist for the beautiful travel posters of Scotland.

Condition is good apart from some slight loss of colour and foxing.
Tom Gilfillan lived in Troon and Ayr and painted landscapes of the west coast of Scotland. He was a student at the Glasgow School of Art on and off from 1915 to 1931, and went on to be a designer for Scottish Aviation.
The artist is perhaps best known for his tourism posters promoting travel in the west of Scotland, and the Highlands and Islands. Gilfillan's paintings appear to be strongly influenced by his tourism posters.
