James Preston was born in Birmingham, moving to Duffield at 16, his interest in art led him to study History of Art at the Derby College of Art.

James is constantly inspired by the countryside that surrounds him and captures its beauty in each painting. This has led to James becoming one of the UK's most highly acclaimed landscape artists.

James' work is now recognised internationally, selling paintings in Tokyo, Zurich, Milan & Ibiza.
