Artist unknown but probably collected on an 18th century Grand Tour.

High quality late 18th century Album of Chalk/pencil Old master drawings of Rome and surrounds. Unfortunately, the drawings are not signed but of excellent quality. There are no clues on the covers of the volume other than what appears to be an owner's label. The book is bound in its original blue paper covers and appears complete. The drawings are on laid paper and have a Fleur de Lis watermark, probably of Italian or French origin.
Condition of the drawings is very good indeed with only occasional handling and smudge marks, although the front cover has some marking to the bottom half (see images)
