A superb original oil painting by the Greek artist, Michalis Makroulakis. The painting depicts a beautiful still life of flowers and is inscribed and signed to the lower margin in Greek.
The piece appears to have been dedicated to a friend, with to the left, ‘For Philip(a?) for one plate of food (or a foreign dish) with friendship. To the right, Signed and dated 1-12-1972.

Michalis Makroulakis was born in 1940 and grew up influenced by the artistic culture of the time. Rarely offered, but with previous sales at Bonhams and Christies.
