Bogman Jr. was born in The Hague on September 22, 1890 and died there on October 18, 1975. He was educated at the Royal Academy for Visual Arts in The Hague and at the National Academy for Visual Arts in Amsterdam. Herman Bogman Jr. was a student of his father H. Bogman Sr. , J.H. Jurres and Willem de Zwart. He was a watercolorist, painter and draftsman and member of Pulchri Studio, the Hague Watercolourists and Sint Lucas guild in The Hague.
