Dikran Daderian was born in 1929 in Beirut into an Armenian family and spent his childhood in Zahlé [. He received his secondary education at the Melkonian Institute in Nicosia ( Cyprus ). He then returned to Lebanon where he taught, until a meeting with Georges Cyr , who attached to the French cultural mission in Beirut. The latter pushed him to settle in Paris , which he did in 1953, where he attended the wood engraving workshop of the École Nationale supérieure des beaux-arts , theAcadémie Ranson , the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and the Académie Goetz , there he made the acquaintance of many contemporary artists.



From 1957, he had numerous private exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions as well as the Salon Comparaisons , the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles , the Salon de Mai and the Salon des surindépendants .
