Born in Lybster on the East Coast of Caithness, Jane is drawn to the isolated unspoiled locations of the far North. She paints landcapes and seascapes, applying paints thickly with a pallette knife and mixing paint directly onto the canvas. In this method of immediacy and build up, Jane captures the mood and colour of this region. She is forever inspired by the dramatic coastline and open moorland of her native Caithness.
