Henry Edmunds Crute (1888-1975) was a British impressionist painter from Devon. He began his career working for the Watcombe Terracotta Clay company together with Tom Lemon, his kingfisher pottery designs becoming very popular, before becoming a professional artist. He spent his whole life in and around Devon, his works mostly featuring landscape scenes from the West Country. Edmunds Crute predominantly painted in oils and watercolour, his works characterised by thick layers of paint, often scraped with a knife.
