A collection of eight 19th century portrait miniatures. 

The miniatures are from all the same Scottish family and range from the late 18th century through to the early 19th century. 

The majority are signed and with artists address on reverse.

John Gray (1731 – 1811) appears to be the oldest, he was a Lawyer and the Town Clerk of Edinburgh. 

They include 2 of Alexander Cunningham, William Cunningham or Charles Cunningham and Mrs Cunningham - wife of Charles Cunningham, John Gray Esq of Newholm, Miss Gray - eldest daughter of Wm Gray of Newholm & Janet Gray the 4th daughter of Wm Gray of Newholm and Susanna - daughter of Wm Gray of Newholm, signed with initials C.P and dated 1795, all within ebonised frames, the largest including frame 13 x 15cm
