This is a very good quality late Victorian oil by the well listed artist James Isaiah Lewis 1860 - 1934, it features a view of thew River Wye from Wyndcliffe.

The painting is housed in what appears to be its original late Victorian gilt frame.

Condition is good, although it has had a patch to the rear over a small tear at bottom right (see images)

The painting could do with a clean.

James Isaiah Lewis 1860 – 1934 was a prolific artist who specialized in views of Richmond and the Thames and other river views. He went on to produce delicate and detailed works in the great tradition of English landscape painting.
