This is an interesting and well executed early 19th century oil on canvas portrait of a young boy. The painting has a label on the reverse for the well known British dealers Frost and Reed. The painting is oil on canvas that has been laid onto a board, probably by Frost and Reed.

Unfortunately the painting is not signed but we think it is by a good hand.

The painting is in good physical condition but is really dirty, mainly with Nicotine, we think it will clean up wonderfully.

The frame is a good 19th century gilt frame but does have some damage at two corners.
