Rams and Sheep Among the Ruins of Lazio C1830

A stunning mid to early 19th century oil on canvas of a small herd of ram and sheep resting in the hills close to Lazio Italy. The painting is of a very high quality and by a prolific hand although it is unsigned.

It is in the original gilt gesso frame and has not been relined. It has had some repairs that have been done a very long time ago.
